Final Film

This is the Final Film for Velo Etoile, with sound created by Alex Capper and Music created by Ruby Muse.

Showreel and Final Edit

Films final edit without sound.

My third year showreel.

Limbo - Finished scene with lighting

Final renders of my Limbo environment with lighting, and fully textured.

Office Lighting

For my showreel I created lighting for this office scene to show my modelling skills, I did not have a chance to texture this environment as the Dante Inferno team dissolved at the start of production. To achieve this look I was taught how to use the HDRI lighting in Autodesk Maya.

Matt Paintings

These are the matt paintings that I have painted in Photoshop to be placed in After Effects when compositing.

Test Renders - Lighting.

I lit and rendered the scenes in Velo Etoile, I have then moved the images in After Effects and made sure that the colours and lighting look the same as the Maya renders. It took a while to sort out issues with referencing but in the end it matches the colour keys. For this film my main jobs were environment modelling, texturing, lighting, rendering and editing/compositing.

Hospital Shot 63 - Lighting

Lighting tests and quick renders. Some alterations still need to be made in regards to the fill lighting. Once I am happy with the contrast of light and dark areas this scene can be rendered out.

Shot 2 Opening Scene - Lighting

This scene needed car and bike lights and also an environment light to see the character, it was difficult getting the desired night effect but still highlighting the character. I few more tests need to be done before this scene can be rendered out.

Podium Shot 57 - Lighting, Rendering and Compositing

Light renders that I am currently testing in After Effects, I have been learning lighting and am going though the finished animations and lighting each scene.

Podium Scene - Test Lighting

These are two rendered shots for the podium scene, as this shot would be in the late afternoon/early evening I have added a darker orange tone to the scene to resemble a sunset. I will add in the mountain and sky matt painting in After Effects to see the whole overall shot.
