Limbo Scene - Lift Modelling

Making of the lift, I imported the lift model from the office scene to make the two environments link like in my original pre-production designs. I initially had trouble working out how the doors would open in the lift without getting stuck on the inside of the doors, so I decided to have the lift frame on the inside as well as the outside. I then created the walls of the lift setting it through the inside lift frame, so the doors can fully open without seeing any gaps.



I extruded the walls from the floor, which I modelled based on my lift floor plans, it matches the lift frame shape. I then extracted the floor from the walls to make texturing easier.


I wanted to change the number on the lift, so seeing as this scene is set in Limbo the first circle of hell I thought putting a one would be the most appropriate. I use Tranjan Pro font, which I will also use for the lettering on the door signs. Below are the development shots of making the "1".
