Working with the research found on Limbo by Aimee, I have created a brainstorm using ideas that I think would work well for the visuals of Limbo. I really like the idea of a waiting room, seeing as it is said to the place where the fate of sinners is decided. I will continue to develop the idea of a doctors surgery waiting room or a dentist, I want the scene to be very simple and using plain colours but I will work on different styles. Looking at how to represent the 9 circles of hell, the idea of using doors, I have the idea of having really old fashion doors to create a bold statement and to show the audience that these focal points are important to the story.
As a group we discussed the brainstorm, and looking at ideas on how the character could enter Limbo, we decided that the best idea would be the lift entering Limbo from above as if the guy is coming from Earth. I had the idea of having a modern style lift opening from a clouded office room which could belong to the character it could be his most well known environment, making him feel comfortable before his afterlife is destroyed. The lift could be a modernisation of the gates of hell and also a spin on the ferryman, I will continue to look into this idea in my mood boards and other research.
